About this file
This is a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a design-build contract to renovate the Redfish Rocks Galley at Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base (NAS JRB) New Orleans. The project, valued at $1,112,000, will convert the existing galley into a multipurpose recreational facility with food service capabilities. Key renovation elements include removing interior walls to create an open environment, adding four QubicaAMF Highway 66 mini-string bowling lanes, installing electrical infrastructure for approximately 15 future arcade games, and ensuring full ABA accessibility for both new and existing spaces.
The contract requires the contractor to perform all design and construction necessary to transform the facility, with an emphasis on reusing existing kitchen equipment and creating a versatile space for active duty sailors and eligible guests. The renovation will include demolition, relocation of equipment, and restoration to produce a complete, functional facility. The project is being solicited by the Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command, with proposals to be evaluated on technical merit and price, and the contractor is expected to complete the work within the specified budget and design requirements.

I. Unless otherwise specified in the contract, the NAFI shall accept, as promptly as practicable after completion and inspection, all work required by the contract or that portion of the work the Contracting Officer determines can be accepted separately.
