About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for Invitation for Bid (IFB) 2017-283 issued by Colorado Parks and Wildlife for the Native Aquatics Species Restoration Facility (NASRF) Hatchery Buildings project. The document addresses clarifications regarding the construction of two buildings: the Staging Building and the Isolation Building, including specifications for electrical systems, plumbing infrastructure, HVAC equipment, water temperature systems, and building materials. Key clarifications include confirmation that 200 amps of electrical power will be available at the Staging Building location, that propane tank leasing arrangements are acceptable, that interior light fixtures shall be Luminaired LED "VPF 8 Series" or approved equivalents, and that exhaust louvers shall be manual operated. The document notes that a state plumbing permit will be required and that the project is not subject to Davis-Bacon wage requirements.
Additional technical clarifications address structural and operational details, including that translucent panels on the Isolation Building shall be 2 feet as shown in the drawings, that the drain line ties to a depth of 10 feet below grade, that hot water supply starts at 85 degrees Fahrenheit, that the effluent collection vault bottom is 9 feet below grade, and that water line insulation will be installed by the hatchery after project completion and is not included in the bid scope. The document explicitly states that these questions and answers do not constitute an Addendum and do not require acknowledgment in the bid package.
