Summary of Collective Bargaining Agreement
This document is a Collective Bargaining Agreement between Food Services, Inc. of Gainesville (dba Riley Food Services, LLC) and Unite Here Local 74, effective January 1, 2024, through December 31, 2027. The agreement governs employment terms for unionized food service workers at a military installation and includes comprehensive provisions addressing wages, benefits, leave policies, working conditions, and dispute resolution procedures.
The agreement establishes hourly wage rates effective January 1, 2024, and January 1, 2025, with rates to be determined (TBD) for 2026 and 2027. Dental and Vision coverage contribution rates are specified for single, family, and dependent categories, with employer obligations to deduct and submit contributions to sustain benefits. The agreement mandates that full-time ACA-eligible employees receive health insurance with monthly co-premiums not exceeding 25% of total monthly premium costs. Employees opting out of the Fund's FSP II health plan receive $5.00 per hour pursuant to the Service Contract Act. Article XII establishes paid personal or sick leave accrual at one day per month (maximum 12 days annually) with unused benefits paid out after August 31st or upon contract termination. Bereavement leave is granted for immediate family deaths (two paid days) and one unpaid day for extended family members. Article XIII provides Family and Medical Leave Act compliance with 12 weeks of unpaid leave annually for eligible employees (12+ months tenure, 1,250+ hours worked). Article XIV establishes a drug-free workplace policy with testing permitted under specific circumstances including pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, and return-to-duty scenarios, with rehabilitative leave opportunities for first-time positive test results. The Attendance Policy implements a no-fault system allowing 12 occurrences annually with progressive discipline escalating from verbal warning at 9 occurrences to termination at 12 occurrences. Additional provisions address medical examinations, union representation through shop stewards, non-discrimination protections, no-strike clauses, and conformity with federal and state laws.
