About this file

This is a Questions & Answers document for federal contract N6893626Q5020, a Request for Quote for HVAC Replacement solicited under FAR Part 13 and 36. The document addresses 18 clarifying questions submitted by potential contractors regarding project scope, specifications, and contractual requirements.

The project scope encompasses removal and disposal of the existing HEVC system (Model # GRT-1-1225-MAO-HWEVC-2T-MSD, Serial # 1154-0393-182), including hydronic piping, controls, and roof patching. The contractor must replace the existing thermostat with a new 7-day programmable thermostat with locking cover and perform HVAC Testing and Balancing (TAB) only, with no elevator system testing required. The new unit will operate as a stand-alone system with no Building Automation System integration. The Period of Performance is 90 days. Engineered construction drawings in Section J – Part 6 are the only governing drawings. The project is not tax exempt, the Buy-American Act is applicable, and no liquidated damages are associated with the contract. A site visit can be arranged, and laydown space is available for discussion at the Pre-Construction meeting. Contractors must comply with UFGS specifications for asbestos-containing materials and lead-in-construction if encountered during demolition. The document does not include response dates, award dates, pricing terms, or set-asides.
