Continuation of Description

1.0 Scope.

1.1 Background. This AMS2750H compliant Heat Treat Oven is required due to a heavy increase in demand for fabricated repair parts requiring heat treat driven by an ageing F/A-18 airframe and new 10K requirements. These parts and fittings are either on extended back order or not available through the supply system and must be fabricated in-house to maintain aircraft readiness. Current processes in place for outside heat treat procurement cannot meet this demand eciently. The Heat Treat Oven will significantly improve throughput and control of the process, reduce turnaround time and directly support mission readiness. By fabricating and heat treating hard to get or obsolete parts we can save time, enhance flexibility, increase readiness, and reduce costs.

1.2 The primary objective is for a Firm-Fixed-Price procurement and delivery of a complete, fully functional, and ready-to-operate heat treat oven with an integrated quench tank system. The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, tools, equipment, transportation, and any other items necessary to furnish and deliver this equipment.
