What are the installation and training requirements for each location listed on the RFQ? Can training be done remotely or is it all onsite?
Training is to be done on site as part of equipment installation and setup. Training, equipment installation, and setup locations may be CONUS or OCONUS. Specific locations will be outlined in subsequent delivery orders. See Amendment 0002, SOW para 4.1.3.3 and Section F, para F.1.a) and b).

10 RFP
It seems this is a specific brand name bid for the Ultramaker S5 printer, and I didn’t see any mentioning of “or comparable”. I believe our [product] is compared and safer than the requested product and would like to ask if our company can participate in the bid and get a fair chance to be considered and possibly win the bid.
Please see Section L, FAR Clause 52.211-6.
Brand Name or Equal (Aug 1999)
(a) If an item in this solicitation is identified as "brand name or equal," the purchase description reflects the characteristics and level of quality that will satisfy the Government’s needs. The salient physical, functional, or performance characteristics that "equal" products must meet are specified in the solicitation.
(b) To be considered for award, offers of "equal" products, including "equal" products of the brand name manufacturer, must-
(1) Meet the salient physical, functional, or performance characteristic specified in this solicitation;
(2) Clearly identify the item by-
(i) Brand name, if any; and
(ii) Make or model number;
(3) Include descriptive literature such as illustrations, drawings, or a clear reference to previously furnished descriptive data or information available to the Contracting Officer; and
(4) Clearly describe any modifications the offeror plans to make in a product to make it conform to the solicitation requirements. Mark any descriptive material to clearly show the modifications.
(c) The Contracting Officer will evaluate "equal" products on the basis of information furnished by the offeror or identified in the offer and reasonably available to the Contracting Officer. The Contracting
Officer is not responsible for locating or obtaining any information not identified in the offer.
(d) Unless the offeror clearly indicates in its offer that the product being offered is an "equal" product, the offeror shall provide the brand name product referenced in the solicitation.
(End of provision)
11 SOW
Training expectations for S5 - self-paced online video, remote online live, or actual in-person installs/trainings in all 35 locations?
Training is to be done in person, on site as part of equipment installation and setup. Training, equipment installation, and setup locations may be CONUS or OCONUS. Specific locations will be outlined in subsequent delivery orders. See Amendment 0002, SOW para 4.1.3.3 and Section F, para F.1.b).

Offerors shall provide a firm fixed price in accordance with Section B of the RFP. 14 RFP
For this RFP, are you expecting pricing for ONE Tier 1 AM unit, or 75? If there are bulk discounts, how do we reflect those in a single-unit quote?
In accordance with Section L.3 of the solicitation, the Offeror shall ensure that the amounts shown in its price quote aligns to the solicitation’s Section B CLIN information. CLINs 0001 and 0002 are units of
"each", CLIN 0003 is one Lot, and CLIN 0004 is Not Separately Priced.
With regard to bulk discounts, please refer to Section L, FAR Clause 52.212-1(e): "Offerors are encouraged to submit multiple offers presenting alternative terms and conditions, including alternative line items (provided that the alternative line items are consistent with subpart 4.10 of the Federal
Acquisition Regulation)..."
15 RFP Is 375 units accurate for “Support Package”?
Yes. This reflects the ability to procure a "Support Package" for up to 75 units on an annual basis over a five year ordering period. For example, if the Government were to order all 75 units in the first year it could potentially procure one support package per machine per year of the five year ordering period
(75*5=375).
Please refer to Section L, FAR Clause 52.212-1(e) if interested in proposing an alternate approach:
"Offerors are encouraged to submit multiple offers presenting alternative terms and conditions, including alternative line items (provided that the alternative line items are consistent with subpart 4.10 of the
Federal Acquisition Regulation)..."
16 SOW
Will users be able to download/view web based training and models for printing via Ethernet?
Has a workaround been discussed for loading stl files onto the printer without wifi or USB?
Users must be able to transefer files via Ethernet only and all files will be loaded into the printer via
Ethernet only. See Amendment 0002, SOW para 4.1.1.
Training must be done on-site. See Amendment 0002, SOW para 4.1.3.3.
17 Attach 1 More detail on specs for custom cases in order to provide accurate quotes for fabrication and delivery?
The System Transport Containers have been removed from Attachment 1 via Amendment 0002.
18 RFP Any insight as to how many of 75 T1AM systems will be delivered in first batch?
The Government anticipates ordering between 17 and 33 units in the first year of performance. Please note this is notional and does not bind the Government in any way. Section F Clause 5252.216-9506 is the only contractually binding quantity.

19 RFP
How should we propose “ODC costs”? By single unit to single destination? If so which destination for estimating flights, etc?
In accordance with Section L.3, c. The Offeror shall use $50,000.00 as the basis for the Other Direct Cost amount in preparing its cost quote. This estimated amount will be used as common evaluation amounts in all Offerors’ quotes and does not include associated indirect costs. The Offeror shall add the appropriate indirect costs to the $50,000.00 ODC amount. The $50,000.00 base ODC estimate, plus indirect costs, will be used in the evaluation of quotes, and will be included in resultant contracts as “not-to exceed” amounts under which the Offeror will be permitted to invoice its actual costs. Please also refer to Section
C SOW para 11.0 for additional ODC information.
20 SOW
