About this file
This is an attachment detailing work items and specifications for a Voyage Repair (VR) contract in support of the USS SHIP under Naval Supply Systems Command solicitation N6817126QN045.
The contract encompasses four primary work items: Work Item 0173A requires preservation and painting of approximately 2,000 square feet of topside surfaces including the Aft CIWS Platform (gutters, handrails, stanchions, ventilation ducts) and Main Deck vertical surfaces less than 10 feet high (~500 square feet), with no scaffolding or JLG requirements. Work Item 0173B involves preservation and painting of approximately 2,000 square feet in machinery spaces, including the Uptake space 5-76-0-Q (approximately 1,000 square feet) and three Fan Rooms (approximately 200 square feet each), also requiring no scaffolding. Work Item 0199 addresses steel repairs involving the replacement of deteriorated tubular piping; for bidding purposes, contractors should plan for 30 linear feet of 3-inch pipe and 30 linear feet of 3-inch angle iron, with deck grating removal required as part of this work. Work Item 0501 requires replacement of Forward and Aft CIWS Cooling Loop valves, specifically four three-way ball valves and ten flanges, with all connections to be silver brazed and valve disassembly necessary to protect internal components during brazing operations. The ship is supplying all materials for the valve replacement work.
