About this file

This document is a Questions & Answers (Q&A) addendum for Request for Quote (RFQ) N6471025Q4501 Amendment 2, focused on clarifying specific policy and safety details for a potential contract. The Q&A addresses two key questions: first, whether the items in the RFQ are safety critical (answered "No"), and second, whether the items or their applications violate sales policy (also answered "No"). The response specifically notes that the items are replacement bearings for commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) U.S. Government vessels' main propulsion drive shafts, and these vessels' propulsion systems are not designed for military operations, thus complying with the sales policy that prohibits products intended for nuclear, military, aviation, aerospace, missile, or weapons system applications.
