About this file

This document is a Comparison Report that provides Rochester Cable, Inc.'s responses to the customer's requirements for the AN/BRR-6C Tow Cable, as outlined in NAVSEA Drawing 8714275 Rev -.

The report details Rochester Cable's compliance with the customer's requirements for materials, temperature, cable length, conductor and armor design, ribbon fairing, workmanship, and quality assurance provisions. It includes several minor exceptions and clarifications, such as the ribbon fairing hardness, insulation resistance testing, and DC resistance testing being impacted by the uncontrolled production environment. The report also notes that the capacitance value was not tested but provided a calculated value instead. Overall, Rochester Cable indicates it can comply with the majority of the customer's technical requirements.

The related federal contract opportunity, Solicitation Number N64498-24-R-0050, is for the Department of the Navy Naval Sea Systems Command. The solicitation includes amendments 0001-0005, but no other details about the required products or services, response dates, award information, or set asides are provided in the given information.

michael.resciniti Sticky Note Unclear what "single ends" is referring to. Due to early Bend over Sheave failures at NSWCPD, we would like to understand if this condition could have been part of the root cause. Request Rochester provide brazing map of cable for future failure analysis if requirement can't be met.
