Questions and Answers
Question 1: Under the Requirement Section 5 in Phase I, there are brand specific testing equipment listed for obtaining measurements such as AMETEK, Keyence Mettler Toledo, LECO, etc. Do you require these specific brand names in order to perform the test?
Answer 1: The specific brands were used as reference capability, equivalent or superior is acceptable.
Question 2: Item 4 and Item 7 both indicate Roughness, can we use a profilometer?
Answer 2: It’s interesting to have visuals of the surface roughness, which is Item 4, but the profilometer provides the better quality measurement. Items 4 and 7 are preferred, however if vendor can’t provide Item 4, at minimum Item 7 shall be met.
Question 3: What are the approximate quantities that will be shipped for testing?
Answer 3: 12 units -o QTY 3 of 20mm x 20 mm x 20 mm 316 stainless steel cube;
o QTY 3 of 20mm x 20 mm x 30 mm 316 stainless steel rectangle;
o QTY 3 of 20mm x 20 mm x 40 mm 316 stainless steel rectangle;
o QTY 3 of 20mm x 20 mm x 60 mm 316 stainless steel rectangle.
