NSWC Corona requires services to perform Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance (ITM) on Building 540 fire alarm system as required by Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) 3-601-02 Fire Protection Systems Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance to support building operations on a recurring basis. The intent of this Purchase Order is to fully service the fire alarm systems to ensure the system is maintained operable at all times. The fire alarm system is an advanced setup employing an addressable fire alarm control panel utilizing aspirating smoke detection with continuous air sampling and clean agent discharge system for fire suppression.
2.0 OBJECTIVES
The objective of the fire alarm system preventative maintenance and repair service Purchase Order is to ensure the continuous functionality and reliability of the fire alarm system. This Purchase Order aims to proactively identify, address, and prevent potential issues through regular inspections, testing, and maintenance and perform repairs when necessary. By maintaining the system in optimal condition, the Purchase Order seeks to enhance the safety and security of the premises, comply with regulatory standards, and minimize the risk of system failures or false alarms.
Additionally, the services may include provisions for prompt response to emergencies, keeping the fire alarm system in compliance with UFC 3-601-02 and NFPA standards.
In addition to ensuring the continuous functionality of the fire alarm system, this Purchase Order incorporates a vital coordination component. This involves active engagement with government personnel and regional teams to facilitate repairs, inspections, and testing as required. By fostering effective communication and collaboration with relevant Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ), this coordination component further reinforces the commitment to a comprehensive and efficient preventative maintenance and repair service contract.
3.0 SCOPE
