About this file
This is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by NAVSUP FLC Yokosuka for market research purposes regarding the procurement of hardware and OCONUS installation services for a Motorola GTR 8000 Land Mobile Radio (LMR) System at a remote U.S. Navy operational site in Japan.
The hardware and core services requirement includes: two GTR Repeaters, three GTR Basestations, antennas, miscellaneous installation hardware, and implementation/system optimization services; 124 APX6000 VHF portable radios with associated software licenses and enhancements including AES encryption, submersible operation, ASTRO digital CAI operation, conventional operation, baseline release software, and five-year essential accidental damage coverage; 124 battery alternatives and 124 programming-over-P25 (OTAP) add-ons; 50 additional Impres 2 Li-Ion batteries; 50 helical whip GPS antennas; 144 desktop chargers; and device programming services for all 124 APX 6000 radios. The OCONUS installation requirement mandates the contractor be responsible for complete on-site installation, programming, and system optimization at a remote island location. Logistical assumptions specify that the contractor covers all costs for travel, lodging, and per diem to mainland Japan, while the U.S. Navy provides final transportation to the site and lodging/meals on-site. Contractor personnel must be eligible for SOFA status and SPOT processing. Vendors are requested to respond addressing capability to provide hardware via NASA SEWP Contract, capability to perform OCONUS installation services under NASA SEWP, a Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimate if capable, and whether they would quote as an open-market requirement if unable to perform under NASA SEWP. No award will be made from this RFI posting.
