About this file

This is Amendment 0001 to a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for vehicle cage fabrication and installation services at Naval Air Facility (NAF) Atsugi, Japan. The amendment extends the response due date from 31 August 2026 to 8 September 2026 at 1100 AM Japan Standard Time and updates the solicitation number N6264926QJ017. The Government seeks a firm-fixed-price purchase order for the fabrication, delivery, and installation of custom front-seat isolation barriers (cages) on four Toyota RAV4 gasoline vehicles. The scope includes fabricating and installing front seat isolation walls, rear seat isolation walls, and rear window protection mesh, along with round-trip transportation between NAF Atsugi and the contractor's facility via commercial carrier or trailer.

The Vehicle Cage Specifications define precise requirements including overall dimensions of 56.5 inches width by 39.5 inches height, high-strength steel tubing (or functionally equivalent standard steel meeting strength requirements), 14-gauge minimum gauge, polycarbonate windows, heavy-duty aluminum frames, and professional powder-coated finishes. The Statement of Work requires the contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and supervision; perform custom engineering and design services; and complete all work within 250 calendar days from the date of award. Quoters must complete a mandatory site visit to physically inspect the vehicles, submit a signed Standard Form 1449, provide a company quotation form detailing materials and technical approach, and submit firm-fixed pricing for CLIN 0001 on a per-unit and total basis. The acquisition is restricted to sources authorized to operate in Japan per DFARS 252.225-7042 and is subject to Buy American provisions. Quotations must be submitted via email to jon.miller30.ln@us.navy.mil with contact information provided for scheduling site visits through LS2 Philip Gipaya or Kumika Yamane at NAF Atsugi.
