About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for a Navy solicitation related to submarine weight test equipment fabrication. The Q&A addresses specific technical details about part numbers, drawings, and specifications, with five questions focused on clarifying component references in the Statement of Work. Key clarifications include identifying specific NAVSEA drawing references for items like a 6' double block with shackles (PC 171), confirming duplicate quantity requests for certain assemblies, and providing drawing specifications for parts like a 4,000lb padeye.
The related federal contract opportunity is a Total Small Business Set-Aside solicitation (N6264925QH025) issued by the Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command. The requirement is for fabricating weight test equipment with Non-Destructive Tests on welds, with a firm fixed price contract type. The NAICS code is 33999 with a small business size standard of 550 employees. The required delivery date has an 80-day lead time targeting 01 September 2025, and the solicitation follows commercial product acquisition procedures with specific evaluation and submission guidelines.
