About this file

This is a project qualification template designed to demonstrate contractor experience with caisson and floating vessel work for federal contracting purposes. The template requests contractors to document specific project examples with a minimum final construction value of $10 million or greater, completed in the United States. The scope focuses on construction, renovation, repair, and certification experience with caissons, boats, or other floating vessels, specifically including placement in dry docks, upland facilities, waterfront facilities, or on barges, as well as work performed on such vessels while positioned in these locations.

The template captures general company information including bonding capacity, UEI, CAGE code, address, small business status, points of contact with contact information, annual revenue, and number of offices. For each project example, contractors must identify the project title and location, completion year, whether their firm served as prime or sub-contractor, and whether the project was Design-Bid-Build (DBB) or Design-Build (DB). This template aligns with the Navy's upcoming Design-Bid-Build solicitation for the Dry Dock 2 Caisson Overhaul at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, Maine, which requires an overhaul and certification maintenance of the existing caisson with extensions to provide continuous flood protection between berths.
