About this file
This file is a list of standard questions designed to guide 1-on-1 meeting interactions during the Navy Fielded Training Systems Support VI (FTSS VI) Industry Day. The questions serve as a template to ensure consistent discussions with interested contractors who have requested individual meetings with the government during the pre-solicitation phase. The 1-on-1 meetings are scheduled for August 18, 2026, immediately following the general session (with potential overflow to August 19-20, 2026), with each meeting limited to 30 minutes to accommodate all interested parties. These meetings will be conducted virtually via Microsoft Teams and are intended to help the Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD) better understand industry capabilities and shape the procurement strategy for this Multiple Award Contract acquisition.
The FTSS VI requirement falls under NAICS code 541330 (Engineering Services) with a size standard of $47 million and Product Service Code J069 (Maintenance, Repair, and Rebuilding of Equipment-Training Aids and Devices). The Industry Day serves a pre-solicitation function to increase awareness of industry capabilities, gather data to inform future procurement strategy, and facilitate open communication between the Government and potential contractors. As a questions template rather than substantive procurement documentation, this file does not specify products, services, pricing terms, response dates, or award dates, but instead provides the framework for Government-industry dialogue during the early stages of the acquisition planning process.

FTSS VI Industry Day 1-on-1 Questions
1. The NAICS code for FTSS portfolio is expected to be 541330, Engineering Services (using the Military and Aerospace Equipment and Military Weapons exception). Do you agree this is the correct NAICS, and if not, what NAICS do you recommend and why.
2. Same question for the PSC code J069 – Maintenance/Repair of Training Aids-Devices
3. Do you believe COMS for military simulators is a commercial service? Why?
4. Are you interested in proposing as a Prime to the Unrestricted/complex Lot, the small business set-aside/non-complex Lot, or both? (Or is your interest in subcontracting opportunities only?)
5. If you didn’t respond to the sources sought, tell us whether COMS is a core competency of your business, and tell us about your most recent/relevant simulator COMS contract (scope, magnitude, complexity…)
6. Confirm your business size status relative to NAICS code 541330 (annual revenue over the last three years averaging n more than $47M to classify as a small business. Also confirm any small business sub-categories your firm qualifies for (woman-owned, veteran-owned, service-disabled veteran-owned, 8(a), SDB, etc…)
7. Give us up to 3 recommendations and/or desires that you would like NAWCTSD to consider in its FTSS IV acquisition strategy development.
8. Are you interested in the Government’s preliminary impression on whether your company stands a reasonable chance for award based on your submitted response to the sources sought and answers to these questions? (Note: This information would be advisory in nature only based on a cursory capability/experience review and would not prevent your company from submitting a proposal.)
