(a) GENERAL SCOPE: The objective of this document is to specify requirements to contract training for maintenance personnel for the C-40A (a Navy configured Boeing 737-700C Increased Gross Weight [IGW] aircraft). (Note: The C-40A is scheduled to replace the C-9 at a future date. As a result, this may cause an incremental increase in student throughput as there is a decrease in C-9 requirements and an increase in C-40A training requirements. The Government will inform the contractor in advance of any increase in training throughput requirements beyond those identified in para. (d)(1)). Attachment I is a description of the C-40A configuration. Trainees will be provided “organizational” level maintenance training for the C-40A at the contractor's school house and at a Navy specified site (mobile training). The following individual C-40A maintenance training courses are required: Maintenance Training Standard Course, Mobile Maintenance Training Standard Course, and Aircraft Rigging Maintenance Course. The courses must be compliant with the Air Transport Association (ATA) Specification 104 criteria assigned to each course.
