10/3/2017 Responses to Questions:
Q: What are the specific electrical requirements for each system?
A: Specific Electrical requirements: 200 Amp 3 phase 450V Q: What electrical connections are required to be supplied with the system?
A: We haven't required the HPACs to come with electrical connections, we pull the pigtails off the ones that are leaving and put them on the new units. (the spec calls for a 15 foot power cord) Q: What is the estimated run time / duty cycle of each system?
A: Based on the last 9 months, the average use has been 60 hours per unit per month. The high has been about 120 per month and low of 30 hours per month.
Q: Who performs standard routine maintenance such as oil and filter changes?
A: Frequent maintenance such as daily checks, manual blowdowns, 100 hour desiccant cartridge swap, and adding make-up oil are handled by Shop 06G. Oil changes, corrective maintenance and anything on those levels are done by the contractor.
Q: Is there a preference to the type of air purification system? For example, a non-regenerative cartridge system to require periodic cartridge changes vs a non-regenerative system?
A: Regenerative v/s non-regenerative doesn't really matter as long as it CONSISTANTLY meets the specs required by the tended unit.
Q: In the case of replacing the system within 48 hours as requested, who is responsible for removal of the system and shipping charges?
A: The contractor is responsible for removal and shipping charges. IMF shop 06G will assist with forklift loading/unloading.
Q: Who is responsible for removal of existing equipment when new equipment is delivered?
A: Existing equipment will be removed before installation of new with the goal of minimizing service interruption. Shop 06G will coordinate this with current vendor and existing equipment removal should have little to no impact on delivery of new equipment.
Q: I am confused by the empty enclosures we saw in the storage area? What are these enclosures to be used for? Per the specification, the new units are required to be enclosed, please confirm.
A: The empty enclosures are available for weather protection and containment for hazardous material.
"Compressor skid must include a hazardous material spill containment boundary (in the case of an oil spill) or must fit in the available government provided hazardous waste containment units (20 ft x 8 ft x 9 ft)."
