QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS #1; 15 August 2013
The following are answers to questions received from potential offerors. The answers provide clarification only and DO NOT constitute an amendment to the solicitation.
1. Will the Contractor be guaranteed to provide the Government with at least 40 hours of line handling services per week?
ANSWER: No. The Government guarantees ordering from each contractor only $800 worth of work for the life of the contract. Although the Government may order line handling services at any time, 24 hours per day, seven days a week as provided in paragraph 2.1.2 of the Performance Work Statement (PWS), this right does not constitute a guarantee of work. Work, and the Government’s corresponding obligation to reimburse the contractor for services, will be ordered in accordance with paragraph 8.7 of the PWS.
