and replace it with the below:

“The SS for Pier 12 is currently serviceable. The Government will provide flow control for SS systems via a bypass system with a plug installed just upstream of the first SS manhole on the shore-side.”

3. Pre-Proposal Inquiries

PPI# Page Section Paragraph Question Responses 3 241 of RFP What capacity should the system be designed for?

RFP states To maintain adequate flow capacity, the replacement HDPE pipe must either match the existing inside diameter (ID) for each section of the sewer line or utilize a single HDPE pipe size with an ID equal to the largest existing ID in the system.

Please see Continuation Sheet provided with Amendment 0002.

4 243 of RFP What pressure and capacity should the pier 12 bypass be designed to?

Please see Continuation Sheet provided with Amendment 0003.

7 We would like to request the diver video that was mentioned during the site visit.

All available Government Diver Videos will be provided with Amendment 0003.

The videos will be sent via DODSAFE following the posting of this amendment.

8 245 of RFP Will access to the trenches on both piers be allowed?

See response to PPI no.

9.

9 1129 of RFP Can we get actual measurements of the utility trenches on both piers since they were not available during the site visit?

There are no utility trenches on Piers 12 and 14.

10 Will bypass lines be allowed on the pier deck using hoses, or will they have to be to the side or under the pier?

See response to PPI no.

9.

11 Would it be possible to schedule another site visit during low tide, to allow for better access/visibility.

Due to End of Year constraints, another site visit is unable to be scheduled.

12 Given the complexity and specialized nature of the scope, we kindly request a bid extension to ensure a thorough and accurate proposal.

Due to End of Year constraints, an extension is not able to be granted.

13 Please confirm that all vessels discharging sewer into the pier sewer lines have discharge/flow regulators.

Please refer to UFC 4- 150-02, Dockside Utilities for Ship Service as stated in Part 4 – Performance Technical Specifications, Section H50- Waterfront Utility of the RFP.

14 How much sewer is being discharged per vessel docked?

Please refer to UFC 4- 150-02, Dockside Utilities for Ship Service as stated in Part 4 – Performance Technical Specifications, Section H50- Waterfront Utility of the RFP.

15 Please confirm the wage scales for Diver or Marine Trade/scope of work.

These categories are specialized; therefore, a wage decision is not applicable. Please bid per the RFP.

16 Will the Government allow the GC to send a diver to confirm underwater conditions?
