Amendment 0002

This amendment dated July 11, 2018 provides government responses to additional requests for information (RFIs). As a result of this amendment, the proposal due date remains

UNCHANGED: Thursday, July 12, 2018 at 2:00 pm Local Time.

Responses to RFIs 0002

1. The old clay pipe could crack or collapse when the contractor compacts/proof rolls the existing fill material above the pipe.

Response 1: We do not believe that there will be an issue with the pipe collapsing during compaction. Existing storm sewer pipe is reinforced concrete and not terra cotta (clay) as identified in the RFI. Contractor to take necessary precautions not to damage the pipe.

2. Could the design layout be changed to install a contraction joint every 20’-0” instead of every 60’-0”?

Response 2: Contraction joint spacing is to be maintained as shown on contract drawings.
