About this file

This is a Combined Solicitation/Synopsis Notice from the Department of the Navy's Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Far East for the procurement of one (1) 130-ton mobile crane for Commander Fleet Activities Yokosuka. The solicitation is numbered N40084-26-Q-1010 and was issued on 25 February 2026. The document serves as an official announcement of the procurement opportunity to potential contractors and includes preliminary Request for Information questions and responses that address contractor inquiries about contract terms.

Two key questions were addressed in the RFI responses: First, a contractor requested adjustment of the delivery date from 450 calendar days to 500 calendar days due to scheduling constraints; the Government indicated this adjustment would be addressed in a forthcoming amendment. Second, regarding logistical support for crane delivery, the Government confirmed that Commander Fleet Activities Yokosuka Transportation will provide delivery escort services, route guidance, and base access passes as needed, with coordination to be made through the point of contact listed in the specifications under the Delivery, Inspection and Acceptance section.
