About this file
This document is a Question and Answer (Q&A) form for a federal contract opportunity (Solicitation Number N4008425Q0800) related to the replacement of a fuel tank truck engine and parts for a government vehicle at NAVFAC Transportation in Japan. The Q&A addresses a specific vendor inquiry about business permit requirements for automobile overhaul services under the GOJ Road Transport Vehicle Law. The government's response indicates that the business permit is necessary and will modify the Statement of Work to refer to "The Contractor" instead of "The prime Contractor" to enhance competition. The solicitation is for a one-time, non-recurring contract to provide replacement services for vehicle number N96-53648, involving labor, supervision, management, tools, materials, equipment, and related services at the U.S. Commander Fleet Activities Yokosuka (CFAY) in Japan.
