About this file

This document provides responses to pre-proposal inquiries for solicitation number N4008423R2004 for fire safety systems maintenance and repair services at Marine Corps Base Camp Butler in Okinawa, Japan. The Navy is seeking these services for fire alarm systems, sprinkler systems, kitchen fire suppression systems, fire pumps, and other fire safety assets identified in the attachments. The incumbent contractor will conduct an initial condition assessment of all systems in the base year to develop an updated inventory, with preventative maintenance, inspections, testing and certifications to begin in the first option year. Responses clarify expectations around condition assessments, edition of reference documents to follow, and inventory discrepancies. Hazardous material handling and disposal procedures are also addressed.
