SUMMARY OF CHANGES

SECTION SF 30 - BLOCK 14 CONTINUATION PAGE (SF 30)

The following have been added by full text:

AMENDMENT 0002

The purpose of this amendment is thefollowing:

1. Provide responses to the questions received as shown below:

No. Questions Answers 3 Can Lead Based Paint be interpreted as a paint containing lead of 5000 mg/kg or more according to the JEGS regulations?

(041, 042, 043, 054, 059, & 060 of pp.36-38 of Attach_1_N4008421B0092+Specifications)

The OSHA lead standard for the construction industry makes no distinction between working on Material Containing Lead/Paint with Lead (MCL/PWL) with greater than 0.5% (5000 mg/Kg) lead and those that have less.

Therefore, if lead is present there, it should be treated as a lead-based paint regardless of its content.

4 We would like to reconfirm the asbestos qualification of PQP described in the specifications. We could not find any mention of the ABIH license in the specs.

If a person meet the qualifications in paragraph 1.5.1, can he or she be approved as a PQP?

So can a third party who is a building inspector, contractor supervisor, project designer, NIOSH582 trainee, and has a valid licenses for them act as the PQP for this project?

(paragraph 1.5.1 of section 01 45 00.00 33)

The PQP must meet the requirements of Paragraph 1.2.22, Section 02 82 16.00 33.

It is enough to meet this requirements.

5 For item 054 repainting of LBP-containing paint, do we have to remove all LBP from the repainting surface?

Or is it sufficient to partially remove only the deteriorated part? Please indicate a clear standard.

(054 of SUPPLEMENTARY EXPLANATION OF

WORK)

It depends on the condition, but basically it is not necessary to remove all LBPs. Remove the deteriorated portion only (including LBP dust generated by surface preparation).

2. The Bid opening date of 1 February 2021 at 10:00 AM (Japan Standard Time) remains unchanged.

3. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
