Paragraph 3.12 states "Work shall not be performed on or within 20 feet of any basin floor gratings." The DXX Tower is currently less than 10 feet from a dry dock floor grating. Will the tower be moved prior to the availability or will the Contractor be responsible for containing the adjacent grating?
Work may be performed within the 20 foot clearance provided that the contractor prohibits any vehicles and/or materials from being located on sump gratings. Provisions by contractor shall be made to safely contain the adjacent grating to preclude items being placed on top of the gratings and prevent materials/debris from entering the grating.
