About this file
This document is Amendment 3 Questions and Answers (Q&A) for solicitation N0060425Q4033 for Laundry Services for the 647th Logistics Readiness Squadron. The Q&A addresses three key contractor inquiries: (1) transportation fee pricing, (2) laundry bag handling, and (3) delivery time flexibility. For transportation fees, the government allows contractors to either include a separate Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) for transportation or incorporate these costs into individual laundry item unit pricing. Regarding laundry bags, contractors may use contractor-furnished bags if government-issued bins cannot be utilized, with associated costs to be incorporated into existing CLINs. The delivery window is confirmed as 06:30-10:30 HST (Hawaii Standard Time) on Tuesdays, with the preferred time being 06:30-08:00 but actual pickup and drop-off permitted until 10:30, with no activities allowed before 06:30 or after 10:30 HST.

N0060425Q4033 AMENDMENT 3 Q&A
Question:
If this contract is not Firm Fixed Price and will be billed based on actual piece counts of items received, will we be able to include a separate CLIN for transportation fee? This is to ensure that if we go and the amount picked up does not come out to be very much it will cover the cost of going there. I recall cleaning for them once before but given the types of laundered items, I can’t imagine they would have a steady usage of their inventory to provide us for cleaning on a weekly basis. Most likely they will give us a huge bulk of items upon return from training or usage and can be intermittent.
Answer:
Yes, a separate CLIN for a weekly transportation fee can be added to separate the pick-up and delivery costs from the individual laundry item unit pricing.
Please note that the separate CLIN for transportation fees is optional. Contractors may elect to either use the separate CLIN to account for transportation costs or incorporate these costs into the unit pricing of the individual laundry items, depending on their pricing structure. A zero or blank response to this CLIN shall be interpreted as indicating that the costs are incorporated into the unit pricing of the individual laundry items.
Please see the attached revised Price Schedule.
Question:
Is it possible to have the customer bag up separately the various soiled laundry and placing them into vendor provided or govt. issues laundry bag? We do not have a truck with a lift gate. Therefore, we would need to place all the soiled items from the bins into our transport van. The previous time I was there they did bag up separately but used trash bags. Could we get confirmation that this can be done either with trash bags or the laundry bags?
Answer:
If the Contractor is unable to utilize the government-furnished laundry bins, the contractor may request the use of contractor-furnished laundry bags. A separate CLIN for contractor-furnished laundry bags will not be established, and any applicable costs should be incorporated into the other CLINs of the Price Schedule.
Question:
Regarding the time for delivery of 0630-0800 on Tuesdays, would we be able to make it available to at least 1000?
Answer:
06:30-08:00 is the requested pickup and drop-off time. However, pickup and drop-off can occur until 10:30. No pickup or drop-off shall occur prior to 06:30 HST or after 10:30 HST.
