Questions and Answers – Asphalt Supply
Q1 Is there an estimate of asphalt supply percentage between Oahu and Kauai?
A1 Estimated amount is currently less than 5% of the total estimated delivery quantity in the PWS.
Q2 Under economic price adjustment use: “The clause may also be used for unforeseen market price volatility.” This statement includes unforeseen price volatility (ie: liquid asphalt increases above 5%) during the 5 year contract?
A1 The intent of the Economic Price Adjustment Standard Supplies Clause inclusion in this RFQ is to allow for price increases or decreases as fluctuations occur within the market. The Government recognizes that pricing of this supply is increasingly unpredictable for future pricing.
