About this file
This document is a Performance Work Statement (PWS) for a naval contract concerning a 500 Ton AC Unit Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) Program. The work requires a contractor to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair a Carrier Transicold Model 19XRV5557387CRS64S R-134A Seawater Cooled Chiller located in the Auxiliary Machinery Room, involving one unit with two VFDs. Key requirements include re-programming the VFD by working with the ship's crew, bringing necessary Carrier software and equipment, ensuring both the primary and spare drives are correctly programmed, and conducting comprehensive testing to verify the AC unit's operational reliability. The contractor must provide a qualified VFD Programmer and Refrigeration Tech Representative, follow lock-out/tag-out procedures, and submit a PDF report detailing the "as released" condition of the AC Chiller and VFDs. The work is planned to be performed during availability periods in Costa Rica and Trinidad and Tobago, with the expectation that the AC Unit and VFD Programming technicians will be sent to both ports.
