About this file
This Performance Work Statement (PWS) details requirements for a naval HVAC repair project involving a 500-ton Carrier air conditioning unit. The work is located in the Auxiliary Machinery Room and involves reprogramming two Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) for a Carrier 19XRV-5557387CRS64S seawater-cooled chiller. Key requirements include troubleshooting the VFDs with the ship's crew, following lockout/tagout procedures, providing a qualified VFD programmer and refrigeration technician, and bringing necessary Carrier software and equipment for programming. The contractor must download the program onto the primary and spare drives, operationally test the chiller unit to meet OEM parameters, and run the unit online for four hours to prove reliable operation. A final report documenting the "as released" condition of the AC chiller and VFDs must be submitted in PDF format.
