The security classification guidance for classified information needed for this effort is identified below. If any difficulty is encountered in applying this guidance or if any other contributing factor indicates a need for changes in this guidance, the contractor is authorized and encouraged to provide recommended changes; to challenge the guidance or the classification assigned to any information or material furnished or generated under this contract; and to submit any questions for interpretation of this guidance to the official identified below. Pending final decision, the information involved shall be handled and protected at the highest level of classification assigned or recommended.

The government is the sole owner of any classified or unclassified material created in the performance of the services under this contract. Any material submitted for public release by government or contractor personnel shall be submitted through the office listed in Block 12. Transmission by non-secure facsimile of technical papers, briefings or presentations are not authorized.
8.a The primary place of performance of this effort will be located at COMNAVSURFPAC Naval Base San Diego CA.
10.g All personnel issued SIPRNET accounts at COMNAVSURFPAC will require a NATO Briefing.
10.j For Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) provided under this contract shall be safeguarded and marked as specified in DoDM 5200.01 Volume 4.
10.k Contractor personnel will be issued a Common Access Card when properly vetted and will require access to the Navy and Marine Corps Intranet. Contractors will adhere to the respective Military service component security procedures.
11.a Classified/sensitive material shall neither be used nor stored outside of the government facility. Contractor personnel shall not generate classified material. All classified and/or sensitive material received shall be provided by the government and shall be safeguarded by government personnel.
Upon completion or termination of the classified contract, or sooner when the purpose of the release has been served, the contractor will return all classified/sensitive information furnished or generated to the source from which received unless retention or other disposition instructions are authorized in writing the Government Agency. Furthermore, the contractor will account for and return to the appropriate issuing office, all identification badges, entry passes and/or vehicle decals issued to the contractor.
