About this file

This document is an Amendment 0001 detailing industry questions and responses for Solicitation N00244-25-Q-S105 for Fire Retardant Lumber for Shoring. The amendment addresses two specific questions from potential vendors regarding wood specifications: (1) Free of Heart Center (FOHC) wood is not required, and (2) wood does not need to be kiln-dried, with the only material requirement being fire retardant treatment. The solicitation is issued by NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center San Diego in support of USS BOXER (LHD-4), seeking fire retardant wood for support braces to be installed between landing craft hull and ship bulkheads to enhance craft stability. The procurement is a total Small Business set-aside using a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) source selection process, with a NAICS code of 321113 "Sawmills". Vendors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM.gov) prior to contract award.
