About this file
This Performance Work Statement outlines requirements for hydrostatic testing and recharging of fire extinguisher cylinders for Naval Station Norfolk Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC). The scope includes testing and recharging 81 CO2 portable cylinders (15lb), 14 AFFF portable cylinders (2.5lb), and 36 CO2 50lb cylinders with actuators.
The work involves 10 specific contract line items (CLINs) covering hydrostatic testing, recharging, valve rebuild kits, service materials, CO2 gas supply, and environmental disposal. Ship Force (S/F) personnel are responsible for discharging and delivering the cylinders to the vendor's facility with proper documentation, while the vendor must perform testing according to maintenance requirement cards (MRCs), provide QA documentation, and notify the ship of completion or failures. The vendor must have capability to conduct hydrostatic testing and recharging of both CO2 and AFFF cylinders and actuators, as MARMC lacks this capability in-house.
