About this file

This Performance Work Statement outlines requirements for hydrostatic testing and recharging of fire extinguisher cylinders for the Naval Station Norfolk Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC). The work involves testing and recharging 81 CO2 portable cylinders (15lb), 14 AFFF portable cylinders (2.5lb), and 36 CO2 50lb cylinders with actuators.

The vendor must perform hydrostatic testing, recharging, and valve rebuilding services across 10 Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs), including 1,398 units of CO2 gas and environmental disposal of chemical/battery waste. The procedures require Ship Force (S/F) personnel to discharge and deliver the cylinders to the vendor's facility with proper documentation and Maintenance Requirement Cards. The vendor must provide QA documentation, notify the ship of any failed tests, mark failed items as UNSAT or OOC, and inform when items are ready for pickup. MARMC does not have internal capability for these services, necessitating use of an outside vendor.
