Minimum Requirements USS George H.W. Bush (CVN-77)
Replacement of Key Card Access System
Scope of Work:
- The USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77) intends to update its existing obsolete access control system. This upgrade will include the installation of an electronic standalone card access system for designated openings throughout the ship.
- Equipment and Installation required for RFID Cylindrical Locks: 360 locks, adapter plates, custom strike pates, software, cables, encoder, 1000 cards, mounting hardware, manual master-key access, installation, software training, Laptop Computer, and handheld device for programming the doors.
- Breakdown of type of door locks:
• (Qty 150) Right hand lock
• (Qty 150) Left hand lock
• (Qty 10) Right hand reverse lock
• (Qty 10) Left hand reverse lock
• (Qty 20) Right hand reverse lock (Spares)
• (Qty 20) Left hand reverse lock (Spares)
- The awarded contractor shall schedule and execute the removal and disposal of the existing system and the installation and operational testing of the new system including all hardware and software. The awarded contractor shall coordinate the schedule of events with S-5 Division Officer and/or LCPO. Installation shall commence upon arrival of material, pending ship availability. The awarded contractor shall provide a software technician to install software, set up encoder equipment, and provide training for all applicable users.
- Characteristics of Key Card System:
o High security and tamperproof design.
o 1" solid deadbolt ( optional auto deadbolt) o Grade 1 Cylindrical Heavy Duty Lock 2 3/4" BS o Emergency access: Mechanical key (in case battery or system outage).
o Staff Monitoring (Keycard Audits): Identify personnel making key and who the key was made for o Ability to have multiple codes per key (e.g. Stateroom and head on one key, heads and linen lockers only, Master key which has access to all space types).
o Individual expiration on key ( e.g. Can place the expiration for key for two month or three month).
o Ability to configure and reconfigure access using the same key.
