About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for federal contract opportunity CSS N0017326QKN06 concerning an acoustic projector.
The document addresses two primary inquiries from potential offerors. The first question clarifies the technical specification for sound pressure levels, with the government confirming that all referenced sound pressure levels are measured at a 1 meter range. The second question addresses cybersecurity requirements, specifically regarding DFARS 252.204-7021 and Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) level requirements. The government's response indicates there is no cybersecurity requirement for this opportunity since the device is unclassified. However, the government explicitly states that products from adversarial nations, specifically citing China, cannot be used.

Q&A
Question 1:
We would like to respond to opportunity about an acoustic projector. There are a list of specs about sound pressure level at various frequencies but it does not specify at what distance.
As you may know, a sound source would have decreasing sound pressure levels as you get farther away from it. Or perhaps you mean sound power level? That is not distance dependant.
Answer 1:
The sound pressure levels are reference to a 1 meter range.
Question 2:
The solicitation includes DFARS 252.204-7021, Contractor Compliance with the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Level Requirements. We did not identify a specific required CMMC level in the posted solicitation or specifications. Would you please confirm the CMMC level, if any, that an offeror must have current in SPRS to be eligible for award under N0017326QKN06?
Answer 2:
We do not have a cybersecurity requirement. The device is unclassified. However, we cannot use a product from an adversarial nation, for example, China.
