PERSONNEL QUALIFICATIONS

Program Manager:

Education

• Must have a Master’s degree in Engineering and/or a Professional Engineer (PE)

Certification.

Experience

• Must have a minimum of 15 years of experience in Fire Protection, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering field.

• Must have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the design and development of U.S. navy fire protection systems

• Must have knowledge and experience with shipboard fire protection technologies, doctrine for its use and fire hazard assessments.

• Must have at least a Secret Clearance.

Senior Engineer:

Education

• Must have at least a Bachelor’s of Science in Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science or Engineering and a PE or EIT certification.

Experience

• Must have at least 7 years of experience in Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science or Engineering field

• Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in laboratory/field research, development, test and evaluation related to fire and smoke modeling analysis

• Must have a Secret Clearance.

Junior Engineer:

Education

• Must have a Bachelor’s of Science in any engineering discipline.

Experience

• Must have at least 3 years’ experience in any engineering field.

• Must have experience with U.S. Navy fire protection systems

• Must have a Secret Clearance.

• Desirable, have a PE or EIT certification.

Senior Technician:

Education

• Must have at least a high school diploma of general equivalency diploma (GED).

Experience

• Must have at least 7 years of experience as an electrical, electronics, or mechanical technician.

• Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in supporting implementation, development and test instrumentation with regard to fire test protocols, sensors, and systems.

• Must have experience in setting up and conducting laboratory and field tests, in design and fabrication of fire test structures, electro-mechanical components, and have welding and carpentry skills.

• Must have experience in various technical support roles including equipment installations, testing and troubleshooting.

• Must have a Secret Clearance.

• Desirable to have firefighting experience and certifications.

Graphic Design:

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical or academic field. Experience may be substituted at the rate of two years of directly related experience for each year of education.

Experience

• Must have at least 5 years of experience in developing graphic layouts and editorial illustrations that presents viewpoint, insight and visual impressions.

• Must have a Secret Clearance.

Senior Subject Matter Expert:

Education

• PhD or Master’s degree in related scientific/engineering discipline. Experience may be substituted at a rate of two years of directly related experience for each year of educations

Experience

• Must have at least 14 years of experience in applicable engineering or scientific field.

• Must have a thorough understanding of U.S. Navy fire protection system designs and governing NFPA and environmental standards.

• Demonstrated creative ability through patent disclosures, problem-solving, scientific reports or technical papers and articles relevant to and solving U.S. Navy fire protection technical problems.

Senior Administrator:

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in applicable field. Experience may be substituted at a rate of two years of directly related experience for each year of education.

Experience

• Must have at least 7 years’ experience in functional areas such as finance, human resources or purchasing.

• Must have a Secret Clearance

Senior Word Processor:

Education

• High school diploma or Bachelor’s degree in applicable field. Experience may be substituted at rate of two years for directly related experience of each year of education.

Experience

• Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in preparing technical documentation
