About this file
This document provides answers to questions and modifies terms for solicitation N0016423Q0202 seeking 12 gauge shotgun ammunition. The modification removes the past performance questionnaire requirement and clarifies that drawings specify packaging of 5 rounds in fiberboard boxes, 120 rounds in metal M2A1/M2A2 ammunition cans, and 240 rounds in wire bound boxes. It also confirms these cans meet water tight integrity standards and the drawings are for marking and labeling. Evaluation will use low price technically acceptable criteria across technical approach, delivery, past performance, and constructive acceptance factors. Quotes must include a capabilities document outlining manufacturing processes, pricing matrices, and agreement to a 45-day acceptance period. The award will be a firm fixed price contract under simplified acquisition procedures.

SUMMARY OF CHANGES
Answers (A) to Questions (Q) submitted:
1. (Q): Please confirm that both M2A1 or M2A2 ammunition cans are acceptable for this contract?
A: Both cans are accepted.
“Packaging drawing 53711-6665096; NSN 1305-01-386-5604; 5 rounds per fiberboard box, 120 rounds per metal M2A1/M2A2 can, and 240 rounds per wire bound box..”
2. Q: Will the Navy please confirm “barrier bag” referenced in drawing 53711-6665097 is not required as the
M2A1 / M2A2 cans are water tight and leak tested. The “barrier bag” requirement will add significant costing when either the M2A1/M2A2 have already been deemed viable waterproof solutions.
A: No, barrier bag necessary, the metal can is to meet water tight integrity.
3. Q: Will the Navy please confirm that drawings 53711-6665097 and 53711-6665096 are included specifically for marking and labeling purposes for the 5rd carton, 120rd can, and 240rd wire bound pack configuration?
A: Yes. The requirement is listed: “Packaging drawing 53711-6665096; NSN 1305-01-386- 5604; 5 rounds per fiberboard box, 120 rounds per metal M2A1/M2A2 can, 240 rounds per wire bound box.”
