QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS #1

8 June 2016

The following are answers to questions received from potential offerors. The answers provide clarification only and DO NOT constitute an amendment to the solicitation.

1. Will the Government consider an extension of the proposal due date?

a. The proposal submission date will be extended to July 6th at 12:00 PM, local time Washington DC. The Government does not intend to extend the due date past July 6th under any circumstances.

Will the government make the DDG 66 available for ship check and, if so, can dates and a location be provided? Additionally, was the USS GONZALEZ available for ship check prior to solicitation release?

a. The USS GONZALEZ was not previously available for ship check nor will it be in the future. A sister ship is also not available for ship check.

a. The Government intended for the WI to read 50 square inches. The WI will be revised via ERRATA.

8. WIs 123-11-006, 123-11-007, 123-11-008, 123-11-009, 123-11-010, and 123-11-011 instruct the contractor to remove all zinc studs. Will the Government consider revising this to deteriorated zinc studs as directed by the supervisor?
