About this file

This document is a bid package for the Mustang Park Improvements project issued by the City of Waxahachie, Texas. The project involves constructing a looped walking trail around the Mustang Park pond, connecting to adjacent parkland, and expanding the existing parking area to enhance accessibility and visitor experience. Electronic or paper sealed bids are being solicited, with responses due by May 8, 2025, at 2:00 pm Central Time. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for May 1, 2025, at 10:00 am via Microsoft Teams. The bid includes multiple line items across different categories such as earthwork, site improvements, storm drainage, and paving, with both base bid and eight alternate bid options. Bidders are required to provide unit costs for various construction activities, including mobilization, site preparation, soil excavation, concrete work, and infrastructure installation.

The bid package provides detailed pricing tables with estimated quantities for each line item, allowing bidders to propose unit costs for specific project components. Bidders must complete a vendor questionnaire, provide company information, submit references, and disclose any past claims or suits. The city prefers electronic submissions through the OpenGov procurement portal and offers the option of electronic or paper bid bonds. A 5% bid security is required. The document indicates that the city has established government entity interlocal agreements and asks if bidders would be willing to extend the same terms and pricing to other government entities. Funding for the project is contingent upon the availability of federal, state, or local funds, with the city reserving the right to cancel the contract if funds are not allocated.
