About this file

This is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) document issued by the State of Maine for the procurement of snowmobiles, specifically Yamaha X models that meet or exceed specified performance standards. The solicitation is for the 2011 Snowmobile Mt Blue project. Bidders must submit all questions through the official Question and Answer link on the Solicitation Details View page within the designated online portal, with responses posted publicly for vendor review. All vendors are required to log into the system to access posted questions and answers, and inquiries submitted through alternative channels will not be considered valid for this RFQ.

The State of Maine reserves the right to process payment for goods through multiple methods, including check, Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), and procurement card. Bidders should be aware that Maine state statute (9-A MRSA 8-303(2)) explicitly prohibits sellers from imposing surcharges on cardholder purchases made with credit or debit cards in lieu of cash or check payment. This requirement ensures that vendors cannot penalize buyers who elect to use card-based payment methods.
