MARKET RESEARCH QUESTIONNAIRE

Propane

FCI Three Rivers, TX

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, is conducting Market Research in compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation, Part 10. The Federal Bureau of Prisons intends to establish a single (one) award for the provision of Propane at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Three Rivers, TX.

Supplies will be delivered on-site at the FCI Three Rivers. All expectations and duties are outlined in the attached specifications. It is anticipated that a solicitation will be issued for the provision of Propane. It is estimated that a monthly average of 12,000 gallons of L.P. Propane will be needed to supply the FCI and Satellite Prison Camp (SPC), and all other buildings located at the institution. Services. This requirement includes a base year and four 12-month Option Years. The Government contemplates awarding an indefinite delivery requirement type contract with firm-fixed unit prices.

The information gathered from Market Research will be vital in the formation and set aside status of the solicitation. The Federal Bureau of Prisons intends to establish award for the provision of Propane, to be delivered on-site at the FCI Three Rivers, TX.

1. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for the supply of Propane is 324110, which sets the small business size standard at 1,500 employees (below 1,500 employees is considered small, above 1,500 employees are considered large). The Federal Acquisitions Regulations requires the following insurance’s: Workers’ Compensation and Employer’s liability not less than $100,000; and General Liability no less than $500,000 per occurrence; and Automobile Liability of at least $200,000 per person, $500,000 per occurrence for bodily injury, and $20,000 per occurrence for property damage.
