About this file
This is a Preliminary Site Logistics Plan for the Prahl College Center project at Mott Community College, prepared by Clark Construction Company. The plan details the construction site management strategy, including contractor parking on the east side of G Lot, a construction entrance, crane pads, lift routes, and temporary site modifications. The project involves significant site alterations, including tree removal (two trees), trimming an existing canopy, creating a temporary sidewalk, and establishing a construction fence. The plan anticipates the loss of 77 parking spaces during construction and includes provisions for a sliding gate, truck route, and a flagman station for managing large loads.
The logistics plan demonstrates careful consideration of campus operations, emphasizing safety and minimal disruption to ongoing college activities. Clark Construction highlights its alignment with the college's Master Plan, noting that parking lot modifications (such as removing islands for the entry gate) can be restored upon project completion. The plan includes specific site elements like a gravel area, tree protection zones, a 12x40 office trailer, and designated pedestrian paths. The approach reflects a comprehensive strategy to manage construction activities while maintaining campus functionality and future development goals.

We recognize the unique challenges of working on an active, occupied campus and are committed to prioritizing the safety of students and staff while minimizing disruptions. We have carefully reviewed Mott Community College’s ongoing Master Plan and developed our approach with consideration of its future layout. For example, the removal of parking lot islands for our proposed entry gate can be restored as parking spaces upon project completion, aligning with the future needs outlined in the Master Plan.
