Q & A for RFPs on University Partnerships in Journalism with Kandahar, Balkh and Shaikh Zayed Universities

Q. In the "Scope of Award" section of the announcement, it lists obligations and responsibilities, which outlines the normal reporting obligations and all that. It includes: "Provide copies of curricula outlines and teaching materials developed to U.S. Embassy Kabul."

Do we simply provide copies for review and for their records or will the Embassy want to approve, revise, alter? In short, will the Embassy take an active role in revising the content of the curricular work we do with the Balkh/Kandahar/Shaikh Zayed faculty?

A. It is highly unlikely that the Embassy would ever want to change any curriculum content. The review has two purposes:

a.) It is a monitoring function to review, understand and document the impact the partnership is having on the curriculum, and b.) If appropriate, the review might be the time when the Embassy logo or written acknowledgement of the funding source would be included in the materials.
