About this file
This document is a "More Information About Requirement" attachment related to Solicitation Number PANRSA24P0000007900 for ONSIGHT CRANE and FREIGHT SERVICES of TWO CALIBRATION VANS MOUNTED on TRAILERS. The solicitation is issued by the United States Army Contracting Command-Redstone, Space, Missile Defense & Special Programs (SMD/SP) Directorate, and is a 100% set-aside requirement.
The key details provided in the attachment include: the trailers have extremely old and dry rotted tires, preventing them from being pulled; the Performance Work Statement (PWS) requires the vendor to pick up the calibration vans from the TSC in Sacramento, CA, transport them approximately 130 miles to Tracy, CA for turn-in, and offload them; the calibration vans are 38' long x 8' wide x 12' tall and each weigh approximately 59,970 lbs; the vendor is responsible for loading and unloading the vans; and the government is seeking firm-fixed pricing or a rough order of magnitude for the initial pickup, transport, and offload using a heavy lift crane and two low boy trailers with semi-trucks.

More Information About Requirement:
1. The tires are extremely old and dry rotted so the trailers cannot be pulled.
2. The PWS has the vendor uploading and transporting from TSC Sacramento, CA to DLA, for turn in Tracy, CA, roughly 130 miles, and offloading.
3. Dimensions (LXWXH): calibration vans are 38’ long x 8’ wide x 12’ tall.
4. Weight of each calibration van: see plates combined appear to be 59,970 LBS

5. Are vendors responsible for loading and unloading? Yes
6. The customer encourages you to provide all-in pricing for the initial pick-up, transport, and offload for one heavy lift crane and two low boy trailers with semi’s to relocate at least 130 miles. This will include all the same equipment to transport TSC Sacramento, CA to Tracy, CA to offload. Firm pricing or rough order of magnitude would be helpful.
7. The tires cannot be replaced on the trailers and pulled with a truck like a standard trailer. Due to inoperable break lines and needing to add hydraulic fluids to trailers (which won’t be accepted), this isn’t a possible solution.
