About this file

This document is a Minimum Requirements Document for a Computer Controlled Audiometer with Bio-acoustic Simulator requested by the USAFSAM/PHD. The Air Force Research Laboratory at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base has a requirement for thirty units of a Computer Controlled Audiometer and thirty units of a Bio-acoustic Simulator. The key requirements include compatibility with DOEHRS-HC/DR systems, the ability to run functional and acoustic calibration, publish Air Force compliant forms, have a manual mode option, support unlimited stored subject and audiograms, and meet OSHA compliance. The Bio-acoustic Simulator must be powered by the audiometer and have specific test frequencies, response thresholds, and physical dimensions. This is a Sources Sought notice to identify small business concerns capable of providing these supplies. Responses are due by April 19, 2024 and should address the company's capability, relevant experience, and small business designation.

Minimum Requirements Document

Computer Controlled Audiometer with Bio-acoustic Simulator

Document Date: April 11, 2024

Background & Scope:

USAFSAM/PHD requires new Computer Controlled Audiometer with Bio-acoustic Simulator due to age of current equipment and depleted back-up equipment stores. Actional age of equipment is unknown, however it is over 12 years old since it was moved up from Brooks AFB, when USAFSAM moved here in 2012. Life expectancy for medical equipment is typically 10 years. Due to our depleted back-up stores, we will need to start reducing our class size if equipment breaks since students need functioning equipment to test out of the course.

Requirements:

The vendor shall provide a quantity of thirty (30) units of the Computer Controlled Audiometer and thirty (30) units of the Bio-acoustic Simulator

Salient Characteristics:
