About this file
This document is a Minimum Requirements Document for a Computer Controlled Audiometer with Bio-acoustic Simulator required by the USAF School of Aerospace Medicine (USAFSAM/PHD). The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) has issued a Sources Sought notice for this requirement, seeking responses from small businesses to identify their capability to meet the Government's needs.
The key requirements include 30 units each of the Computer Controlled Audiometer (CCA-200) and Bio-acoustic Simulator (BAS-200). The CCA-200 must be compatible with the DOEHRS-HC/DR system, have various functional and reporting capabilities, and meet specific technical specifications. The BAS-200 must interface with the audiometer and have various technical features. The Sources Sought notice requests company information, small business status, and a description of relevant capability and experience to provide these products in accordance with the minimum requirements. Minimum Requirements Document
Computer Controlled Audiometer with Bio-acoustic Simulator
Document Date: May 1, 2024
Background & Scope:
USAFSAM/PHD requires new Computer Controlled Audiometer with Bio-acoustic Simulator due to age of current equipment and depleted back-up equipment stores. Actional age of equipment is unknown, however it is over 12 years old since it was moved up from Brooks AFB, when USAFSAM moved here in 2012. Life expectancy for medical equipment is typically 10 years. Due to our depleted back-up stores, we will need to start reducing our class size if equipment breaks since students need functioning equipment to test out of the course.
Requirements:
The vendor shall provide a quantity of thirty (30) units of the Computer Controlled Audiometer and thirty (30) units of the Bio-acoustic Simulator
