About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document from Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) responding to supplier inquiries regarding RFP MG-06152026, dated July 7, 2026.

The document addresses three key supplier questions regarding deliverables and documentation requirements. For part number AL-1889-5173, LBNL clarifies that parts are to be provided unassembled in kits per the Statement of Work, with 40 units required plus 4 units for First Article testing. For parts AL-1472-5177 and its variants (-01 through -05), LBNL directs suppliers to quote quantities in accordance with Table 1 of the SOW rather than providing specific quantities in the Q&A response. For part number 515-KSKC, LBNL explains that associated documents and drawings are not included in the solicitation package because this item is a commercial off-the-shelf product. All responses reference the SOW as the authoritative source for detailed requirements and specifications.

LBNL Response to Question 02 Re: LBNL RFP MG-06152026 – 07/07/2026

1. For the drawings included in the package for AL-1889-5173. It looks like LBNL wants 40 units per the BOM, and the 4 units for First Article.

The supplier could not identify an assembly drawing for this unit.

Does the supplier just supply the piece parts only per the BOM?

LBNL Response: The parts are to be provided unassembled, in kits per the

SOW.

2. For AL-1472-5177, -01, -02, -03, -04, -05, the supplier should quote

25ea. 50ea. for First Article. 100ea. 125ea?

LBNL Response: Please quote quantities in accordance with Table 1 of the

SOW

3. The supplier could not identify the 515-KSKC documents/drawings?

LBNL Response: They are not included because this is a commercial off-the-shelf product.
