Text version
Entrance to Fort Shafter is through Buckner Gate.
Due to heightened security, please have the following items available to provide to the guard:
1) valid drivers license;
2) vehicle registration;
3) certificate of insurance; and
4) current safety inspection.
All passengers must have a current photo ID.
Individuals renting a car will need to provide:
1) valid drivers license; and
2) rental car agreement.
At the “Security Check Point” you may need to obtain a one day pass. If you obtain your pass and drive up the hill on your right hand side, there will be a tree , and next to the tree is a sally gate or white arm (to not let cars go pass), facing up. Make a right turn toward the small parking lot.
After the right turn, you will see about 40 to 50 feet away, a brown rubbish dumpster. Right after the brown rubbish dump, turn right on Walker Drive. Pass Bldg 223 (on left), then the bridge (on right).
