About this file

The document is a Living Wage Certification Form issued by the Town of Manchester, Connecticut, related to a contract for the Bowers Elementary School Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FF&E) project. The form requires bidders to certify whether they are a "Covered Employer" under the Manchester Living Wage Ordinance (Chapter 212 of the Manchester Code of Ordinances) and will comply with wage requirements, or if they are exempt from these requirements. The form provides options for exemption, including being a nonprofit organization, employing fewer than 25 eligible employees, or having an annual contract value less than $25,000.

The certification form is mandatory for bid submission and must be completed accurately, with potential bid rejection for failure to indicate the employer's status. The document is specifically tied to the Bowers Elementary School FF&E project (State Project #077-0239 RNV, Phase 2 of 4), which involves procurement of classroom furniture, tables, files, storage, rocking chairs, janitorial supplies, and utility shelving. By completing this form, bidders affirm their commitment to either paying the required living wage or qualify for an exemption, ensuring compliance with local labor standards for this municipal school procurement project.
